St James & St Bede Church Centre welcomes Christians and those who seek to understand Christianity in the Gateshead area. Our aim is to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-enhancing Christian journey.
St James & St Bede Church Centre at Gateshead, Tyne and Wear is a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God. Our emphasis is on learning and understanding the Bible and following the example of Jesus and his followers.
The vision of St James & St Bede Church Centre is to make an impact for God, here in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds. Come just as you are - we'd love to get to know you better.

Booking of Baptisms/Weddings
The church office at St James & St Bede is open from 6.30pm-7.30pm every Monday (except Public holidays) for the arranging of baptisms, banns, weddings etc at both St James & St Bede and St Edmund's. No appointment necessary.
Monday at 6:30 PM for 1 hour
Sunday
All Age Holy Communion service
This service on the first Sunday of every month is an All Age Service of Holy Communion. No Sunday school is available at this service.
Every first Sunday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour
Holy Communion Service
No service on 2nd Sunday of each month - joint parish service at St Edmund's (Chapel).
The service on the 4th Sunday of each month is a joint parish service with St Edmund's (Chapel) and includes children's activities.

Baptisms
Baptisms are normally held on the first Sunday of every month at 11.30am.
