Saint Theodore Of Canterbury

Orthodox Church

Saint Theodore Of Canterbury, Canterbury, Kent, United Kingdom

The Liturgy is celebrated normally on the third Sunday of every month. The service used is the Divine Liturgy of St John Chrysostom (of St Basil the Great during Lent), sung mainly in English, with some prayers in Greek and Church Slavonic.

After the service, all are welcome to join us at our bring-and-share lunch

The community is part of the worldwide Orthodox Church, being part of the Deanery of Great Britain and Ireland of the Exarchate of Orthodox Parishes of Russian Tradition, within the Jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarchate

Our local members represent a diversity of Orthodox languages and cultures, including English, American, Arab, Bulgarian, Cypriot, Finish, Georgian, Greek, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Serbian and Ukrainian.

Members of all Christian communities are most welcome to attend our services

Even though it still does not seem possible to make firm and definite long term plans, we plan to continue to celebrate the Liturgy at All Saints’ church, Military Road, Canterbury CT1 1PA, where we have been so warmly welcome since last autumn, on:

Saturday 23rd October 2021 at 11.00 am
Saturday 13th November 2021 at 11.00 am

These and any dates in subsequent months, inevitably, remain subject to possible change as the pandemic situation in the country develops. Of course, we shall follow all the agreed guidelines and protocols whenever we use All Saints’ church for worship.

All Saints' church, where we are worshipping during the period of the pandemic, is located between the Sorting Office of the Royal Mail and the Canterbury City Council on Military Road, with ample on-street parking nearby.
