Our Lady of Hope Church is centrally located for access by many of the East Baltimore zip codes. Located on 22 acres of land on Lynch and North Boundary Rds, it has been a centerpiece of Faith in the Southeast Baltimore area since it’s beginning as a Mission from St Rita’s Church in 1942; started by a group of women after it became necessary to have Mass for the Inverness & Gray Manor areas due to the influx of steel workers at Bethlehem Steel. These Missions became the Parishes of St. Adrian’s and St Mildred’s in 1944. Our Lady of Hope School and Convent was built in on the current site in 1953 to support both of these Parishes. As both Parishes continued to grow, it was evident they each needed larger facility, and in 1967 the decision to close them establish the current Our Lady of Hope Church on the School property.
