Morham Parish Church

Church of Scotland

Morham Parish Church, Haddington, East Lothian, United Kingdom

Garvald and Morham are two villages to the south of Haddington. Our combined congregation is small in number, but we are blessed with a vibrant Sunday School, a number of deeply committed house groups and some wonderful musicians.

Garvald and Bara Parish Churches date from the 1100s but there was a major rebuild in 1829 and further refurbishment in 1960s. The old stable block for the former manse now provides two meeting rooms and some basic kitchen facilities.

Morham Church was built in 1724 and stands in a secluded hollow within a walled burial ground. The Laird's loft is accessed via an external stairway and provides a meeting room for the Sunday School.

There are village halls in both Morham and Garvald which have been used as venues for Church Christmas parties, ceilidhs and in the past a Labyrinth was set up in the Garvald hall as part of our "Reconnect" weekend.

Garvald Church is a wonderful setting for a wedding and with the newly reburbished village hall it has been used by local people for the "perfect wedding day" .
