Denomination: First Baptist
Welcome to Mississauga City Baptist Church, a diverse congregation of about 300 active members coming from some 80 different nations around our globe. Our worship blends both traditional and contemporary expressions. We are intentionally multi-cultural and multi-generational.
We constantly develop stronger faith, knowledge and love of our Lord in our life's walk with Him, which we refer to as the Believer's Journey. This journey begins with the acceptance of Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour and Lord. It continues to transform the believer in several aspects: worship, community, discipleship and service.
Worship is the personal and corporate experience of praise and adoration of our God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe mankind was made for worship to establish a loving relationship with our Creator.
Community, through our relationships with other members of the family of God, is the basis of our spiritual connection, with the congregation as well as smaller care groups offering venues for trust, vulnerability, sharing and accountability.
Discipleship transforms our lives through grace and knowledge, as Jesus led us to follow Him . Discipleship also prepares us to be trained and equipped for the call of the Spirit into specific ministry passions.
Service is an expression of one's spiritual giftedness. Our actions should reflect the love of God to a watching and desperate world. We accept the responsibility to love our world for Jesus Christ, acting locally and globally, spiritually and environmentally.
