Worship
Lexington UMC is pleased to offer two worship services on Sunday mornings. Our Contemporary Service begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Family Life Center and includes a worship and praise group that leads us in songs that you may already know from your favorite Christian radio station. A “Prayground” has been set up inside the worship service where your children may sit and do activities during service while still being near to you. We also offer a wonderful Children’s Sunday School with a team of great leaders eager to walk kids through the wonders of God’s word while you are in worship service. Sunday School is located in the Classrooms between the Family Life Center and Sanctuary. If you need help locating them, please ask our usher to help you out!
Our Traditional Service begins at 11:15 a.m. in the Sanctuary. The music is both ancient and modern and can be sung out of a hymnal or off of the screen in the front of the sanctuary. Preaching is biblical and relevant to life. We celebrate Holy Communion once a month on the first Sunday. We believe that all who love God, repent of their sin, and strive to live in peace with others are invited by Christ to His table.
Sunday School
Get Connected at LUMC on Sunday Morning Sunday School classes are available for all ages from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Children meet in Fellowship Hall; Youth 6-12th grade meet in FLC Classroom with leader, Stewart Hervey; Men’s Gathering meets in the 2nd classroom with leader, John Gibbs and Journey Class for Adults meet in the 1st Classroom with leader, Cinda Lewis. Everyone is invited to join any of the classes, whether you are a member of the church or not.
Nursery
From 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. nursery is in the Family Life Center classroom #1. From 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. nursery is located next to the kitchen in our Fellowship Hall. A paid childcare worker is present to provide safe loving childcare for infants and toddlers. Of course, we’d love for them to join us for worship too.
