OUR BEGINNINGS
Kingsley Church of Christ was started back in 1985 when the suburb of Kingsley was just being developed. A group of Christians started meeting in a local primary school and within 5 years, with help from other Churches of Christ in W.A., they had been able to build a church home on the corner of Barridale and New Cross roads.
WHAT WE WANT TO SEE
LOVE
A community where the pure & perfect life-giving love of God is experienced in all we do. We believe that anything that isn’t done in love doesn’t belong in God’s Church.
SHARE
We share God’s love in a huge variety of ways – that’s the beauty of God’s design for the Church! We believe it takes a community of Christians to reflect the many flavours of God’s love to each other and those around them.
GROW
We believe that when people receive the love of God they grow. They grow closer to Him and to each other. They grow to become more like Jesus. This is why our church exists.
HOW WILL WE GET THERE?
BY SHARING and DECLARING the LOVE OF GOD in OUR COMMUNITIES!
SHARING
Because most of what we communicate isn’t through our words, it’s in our actions! We want to share God’s love in everything we do.
AND DECLARING
Words are still important! We want to talk about what God has done for us in Jesus. We want everyone to know the truth about how to know God and live as His child.
THE LOVE OF GOD
The story of how God has given us eternal life through Jesus is all about love.
IN OUR COMMUNITIES
Communities are the people you connect with. We share and declare the love of God in small groups that meet in homes, in activities at the church building during the week and in larger gatherings on Sundays. We reach out to the broader community of Kingsley and the surrounding suburbs and we also work with amazing partners who are sharing and declaring the love of God all around the world in many different ways.
Service Times
SUNDAY SERVICES
Like everything we do, Sunday Services are about sharing and declaring the love of God.
We gather to praise God musically, to pray, to remember Jesus through communion and to learn together from the Bible.
Children in primary school and below have special activities during the teaching time for their own age-appropriate activities in Junior Church, Kindy Church and Creche.
Services start at 9:30am and 4:00pm and usually go for about 75 minutes. We like to stick around afterward enjoying some morning tea or supper -it’s a great chance to spend time with friends and to make some new ones. We’d love you to join us!
