Glen Eden Baptist Church (GEBC) is a multigenerational, multicultural, community focused church in the heart of Waitakere City. We are passionate about making a difference in our community by sharing the practical love of Jesus and by providing a warm and friendly environment in which people at all stages of their spiritual journey feel encouraged and challenged to take the next step.
The church campus is located close to the heart of West Auckland cafe culture in the Titirangi Village and is only 20 minutes from the dramatic West Coast beaches of Piha, Karekare and Bethels. With its close proximity to the wonderful native bush of the Waitakere Ranges, the church enjoys the wonders of the beach and bush and the pleasures of caffine and art!
Established in 1959 out of a desire to make a difference in the Glen Eden community, GEBC has been a warm family ‘church home’ for many people for over 50 years.
One of our core values is to be the ‘hands and feet of Jesus’ for our local community and beyond. This is worked out via the community ministries of the church and our community Trust – the VisionWest Community Trust. The church also supports a number of missionaries both overseas and serving in New Zealand and the missions group ‘Goers and Senders’ meets regularly to encourage and inspire.
GEBC is a church of people just like you, who have a desire to find out more about God, Christianity, themselves and each other. From new born babies to older adults in their 90”s and every age and stage of life in between; there is a place for everyone at GEBC.
Service Times
Sunday Services
You are welcome to join us at any of our Meeting Times. On Sunday, we hold two services in the main auditorium.
8:30am Service
If you are an early riser, enjoy a smaller gathering, and a contemporary style of worship at a lower volume, then this 1 hour service is for you.
10:10am Service
Contemporary worship, relevant teaching, followed by the “Fusion cafe”. Why not stay around after the service for a free espresso, (if you are a visitor) and a chat in our visitors area, the Connect Lounge.
Note: Creche, Children’s and Youth Ministries operate during the 10.10am service.
