First Alliance Church is a community of believers (located in urban Toronto) that loves Jesus and His Church. As you browse, we want you to know these simple truths: that you are always welcome in our midst, that you were created for a purpose, that you are loved by God and that you are a new creation if you are in Christ!
We want to do everything that we can in order to give you a clear picture of who we are, and what we believe. Within this section, you'll learn a little bit about the make-up of our church, you'll be given the chance to check out the basics of our theology, and you'll meet some of our leadership team.
Church is, first and foremost, the people. Those who follow Jesus make up the "worldwide Christian Church". Furthermore, each church body is that communities' local expression of the worldwide Christian Church.
There are lots of different styles and denominations. Some churches are big and some are small. But the main focus in each should never waver; that the people gather together in the name of Jesus Christ, to worship God, to learn, to experience community (and all that comes therein) and to become equipped to tell others about the saving power of the Gospel.
