Church of the Good Shepherd welcomes Christians and those who seek to understand Christianity in the Wallsend area. Our aim is to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-enhancing Christian journey.
Church of the Good Shepherd at Wallsend, Tyne and Wear is a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God. Our emphasis is on learning and understanding the Bible and following the example of Jesus and his followers.
The vision of Church of the Good Shepherd is to make an impact for God, here in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds. Come just as you are - we'd love to get to know you better.

Service Times

Sunday
Morning Service
A traditional service lasting one hour and normally including communion. Sunday School is available at the same time.
This service is cancelled at Harvest, and replaced by a 'Joint' service at 11am. also at Pentecost when the Joint service is at 6pm
Every Sunday at 9:30 AM for 1 hour
Cafe Church
A monthly service designed to be accessible to all, including those not familiar with church. We sit round tables and begin with refreshments. This is a short, lively and informal time of worship and learning. Do come and give it a try!
Every first Sunday at 11:00 AM for 40 minutes
Evening Service
This is a traditional service with hymns, readings, prayers and a serMonday Usually in the non-conformist tradition. Occasionally takes place at another church in the Methodist Circuit
This service is cancelled at Harvest when there is a 'Joint' Service at 11am and at Advent when the Joint service is at 9.30am. It is also cancelled when there is a circuit service.
Every Sunday at 6:00 PM for 1 hour
Wednesday
Midweek Service
A short friendly and intimate service with congregational participation. The brief 'sermon slot' is normally a discussion of the readings for the day. Once a month according to the Methodist rite, otherwise Anglican.
Every Wednesday at 9:30 AM for ½ hour
