Church of the Ascension welcomes Christians and those who seek to understand Christianity in the Ottawa area. Our aim is to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-enhancing Christian journey.
Church of the Ascension at Ottawa, Ontario is a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God. Our emphasis is on learning and understanding the Bible and following the example of Jesus and his followers.
The vision of Church of the Ascension is to make an impact for God, here in Ottawa, Ontario by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds. Come just as you are - we'd love to get to know you better.

2014 Christmas Services
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
On Christmas Eve, the Sanctuary is garlanded with pine boughs and soft lights for Ascension’s annual candlelight service. As always, the service includes lessons, congregational carol singing, and a special performance by the Christmas Choir.
When: December 24 at 7:30 p.m.; carol singing at 7:15 p.m.
Christmas Day Service
A morning service celebrating the birth of Christ with Holy Eucharist and congregational carol singing.
When: December 25 at 10:00 a.m. Where: Church of the Ascension, 253 Echo Drive
Regular Service Times
Ascension worships at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday (integrated with programs for children). Lectio Divina based on the coming Sunday’s Gospel takes take place over coffee each Thursday at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Eucharist and discussion. Everyone is welcome.
