Church of the Ascension welcomes Christians and those who seek to understand Christianity in the Haywards Heath area. Our aim is to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-enhancing Christian journey.
Church of the Ascension at Haywards Heath, West Sussex is a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God. Our emphasis is on learning and understanding the Bible and following the example of Jesus and his followers.
The vision of Church of the Ascension is to make an impact for God, here in Haywards Heath, West Sussex by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds. Come just as you are - we'd love to get to know you better.

Sunday
1st Sunday of the month - Funky Faith
An all-age activity-based service with an emphasis on families with young children
Every first Sunday at 9:15 AM for ¾ hour
2nd & 4th Sunday of the month - Ascension Praise
A contemporary service of the Word with the emphasis on praise and teaching. Children's groups will be provided during the service.
Every second and fourth Sunday at 9:15 AM for 1 hour
5th Sunday of the month - Cafe Church
A praise service held in the Ashenground Community Centre during which we share tea, coffee and breakfast pastries!
Every fifth Sunday at 9:15 AM for 1 hour
Holy Communion
Holy Communion Services are based on Common Worship with a seasonal flavour, with both older hymns and newer songs.
Refreshments and fellowship takes place from 10:15, when the 'Kingdom Service' finishes.
Every first second fourth and fifth Sunday at 10:45 AM for 1 hour
Family Communion
An all-age communion service 'in the round', with the children taking an active part in the service.
Refreshments and fellowship take place in the Ashenground Centre from 10.15am.
Every third Sunday at 10:45 AM for 1 hour
Wednesday
Mid-week Communion
Said Eucharist with homily
Every Wednesday at 10:30 AM for ½ hour
Thursday
Prayer for Lewes Prison
A time to pray for the inmates and families of those in prison as well as the staff
Every third Thursday at 8:00 PM for ½ hour
