We're a Catholic church established in 1959 located in the Serangoon Gardens Estate. Our patron Saint is St Francis Xavier, a 1600's Spanish Jesuit considered to be one of the greatest missionaries since Saint Paul. He is the co-patron of foreign missions, along with St Therese of Lisieux, as he extensively carried out mission work in India, Japan and other parts of Asia.
Our Vision
In 2015, our parish set out on a new mission to become "Disciples Making Disciples". Our parish vision aligns with that of Archbishop William Goh’s vision for the Archdiocese of Singapore, which is “To build an evangelistic and missionary Church”.
What does it mean to build an evangelistic and missionary Church? This is best summed up by our parish tagline, “Disciples Making Disciples”. We first become disciples, by encountering Jesus and following Him. We then make disciples, by reaching out to others and helping them encounter Jesus. This is a lifelong journey and is the fundamental work of the universal Church. As a parish, we will work together to grow as disciples and as God’s instruments in making disciples.
The process of becoming disciples and making disciples will take time and effort, but we believe that Jesus calls us to go forth together, and that He will walk ahead of us as our Shepherd. In time to come, we envision a vibrant parish community filled with disciples of Christ.
