What We Believe
WE BELIEVE...
There is only one true God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Bible is the inspired word of God---true in every part.
Though God created the world perfectly, human beings brought sin into the world, and death came through sin.
God saved us purely out of his wonderous love by sending his own Son, Jesus, to live perfectly and pay the full price for our sin by dying for us.
Jesus carried the sins of the whole world on the cross, and he gives eternal life in heaven to all who trust in him by faith.
Through Christ, we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, blessing us with the fruits of faith: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
God has called all people to love him and to love one another.
WHY DOES IT MATTER?
Do you think about why you exist or about your life's purpose?
Do you wonder about what will happen to you when your life here on earth ends?
If you do, you are not alone; we think about those things too. Many people spend their life endlessly searching for answers to these most important questions.
We believe that God, in his Word, has given us the answers. In Jesus Christ alone we have purpose in this life and hope for eternal life. This is the foundation of the Christian faith.
At Christ Lutheran our core beliefs help us to achieve two goals:
They enable us to equip our church familes to live meaningful lives.
They prepare us for the life that is to come in heaven.
