Chessington Evangelical Church welcomes Christians and those who seek to understand Christianity in the Chessington area. Our aim is to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-enhancing Christian journey.
Chessington Evangelical Church at Chessington, Surrey is a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God. Our emphasis is on learning and understanding the Bible and following the example of Jesus and his followers.
The vision of Chessington Evangelical Church is to make an impact for God, here in Chessington, Surrey by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds. Come just as you are - we'd love to get to know you better.
Service Times
Sunday Mornings:
The service begins at 10.30am and finishes around 12pm. A creche is available. Our congregation is usually between 300 to 400 people and is made up of folks of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities. Part way through the service, the younger children (under 11) leave to go to their groups. See here for more about our childrens and youth groups. On the first Sunday of the month we gather around The Lord's Table.
Sunday evenings:
Our evening services begin at 6.30pm and finish by about 8pm. We usually have a congregation of between 100 and 150 people. Our evening services tend to be a bit more informal. We sometimes take the morning passage and consider how we can practically apply that to our lives. We may look at contemporary issues or aspects of living the Christian life. On the 3rd Sunday of the month we gather around The Lord's Table.
