Chapel of St Luke welcomes Christians and those who seek to understand Christianity in the Exeter area. Our aim is to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-enhancing Christian journey.
Chapel of St Luke at Exeter, Devon is a friendly Christian community where we welcome others to join us in our worship and service to God. Our emphasis is on learning and understanding the Bible and following the example of Jesus and his followers.
The vision of Chapel of St Luke is to make an impact for God, here in Exeter, Devon by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds. Come just as you are - we'd love to get to know you better.

Sunday
Light Supper Service
The Light Supper Service is a contemplative communion service. It features music and chants, readings, prayers, reflective silence (in which prayers are offered with incense) and the Eucharist. The service is followed by a pasta supper and a discussion of the gospel passage (although often we deviate onto any number of topics!). Every second Sunday of the month this service is replaced with Holy Ground at Exeter Cathedral, which we also warmly welcome the community to attend.
Every first third fourth and fifth Sunday at 7:00 PM for 1 hour
Monday
Morning Prayer
A peaceful way to start the working day, morning prayer is part of the daily rhythm of prayer and worship at St Luke's (Chapel). It includes a psalm, Bible readings, responses and prayers, and is followed by tea and biscuits at the back of the (Chapel) for anyone who does not have work or lectures immediately afterwards.
Every Monday at 8:30 AM for 25 minutes
Evening Prayer
An excellent way to wind down after a day's work, evening prayer is part of the daily rhythm of prayer and worship at the (Chapel). It involves a psalm, Bible readings, responses and prayers. On Wednesdays evening prayer is replaced by Choral Evensong, where the (Chapel) Choir leads the worship.
Every Monday at 5:00 PM for ½ hour
Tuesday

Contemplative Prayer
Contemplative prayer is an opportunity to rest in, and be strengthened by, prayer in the middle of the day. There is an extended reflective silence following the day's reading. As a short and minimalist service, it is also an ideal way for people new to the idea of faith or church to approach and put their thoughts before God.
The service is followed by "Luke's Lunch" with the Chaplain, and so perfect if you have a long day ahead!

A lunchtime Communion service serving the staff, students and wider community around St Lukes.
