We meet to worship twice on a Sunday. The morning service is the larger gathering – attended by around 50 people, it is friendly, varied and worshipful. There is a small Junior Church which meets fortnightly. Once a month on the second Sunday we have a service involving our music group allowing us to explore a greater variety of hymns and songs. The evening worship is generally quieter and 10 – 20 people attend.
Our Minister is Rev. Silas Wood, who has been with us since September 2010. We are also fortunate in having a Supernumerary Ministers and 4 active Local Preachers worshipping with us.
The Church premises are well used by the community including Rainbows, Brownies and Guides. There are three active House groups, a weekly prayer group, a music group, a Taize singing group and a monthly afternoon Fellowship.
We have been awarded Eco-Congregation status, recognising our good work in environmental stewardship.
Belle Vue Methodist Church is a Fairtrade Church, and we use Fairtrade tea, coffee and sugar for refreshments, and have twice yearly Fairtrade coffee mornings where a wide range of fairly-traded goods are on sale.
Belle Vue Methodist Church is part of the Central Area of the Shropshire and Marches Methodist Circuit.
