Amazonia United Methodist Church at Easter

Amazonia United Methodist Church was founded in 1882 by mostly German friends and neighbors. Its building is solid, with nothing very fancy or flashy.

That could also describe the congregation: solid, with nothing fancy or flashy. Good Christians. Good friends and neighbors. The members of Amazonia United Methodist Church are a close-knit family of believers.

There are no strangers here — at least not for very long. Everyone knows everyone, and everyone respects everyone.

We’re a United Methodist congregation that follows basic liturgy of our denomination. We believe in the scriptures, but we encourage everyone to study the bible and be open to God’s grace in understanding his messages.

We prefer to consider the complexities of modern life filtered by the question “What would Jesus do?”
